We work with the National Institute of Teaching, giving trainees access to nationally recognised, research-informed practice aligned with local school needs.

Welcome to Sheffield Teacher Training Alliance

Take your first step into teaching with our Initial Teacher Training (ITT) programmes. We provide the essential training every new teacher must complete before starting their first role.

 

Whether you want to teach in primary, secondary, early years, or specialist schools, our school-based ITT programmes offer the perfect route. Designed for recent graduates and career changers, you’ll learn ‘on the job’ through school placements, excellent training, and dedicated support.

 

By training with us, you’ll qualify with a PGCE, QTS, and 60 Master’s credits Equipping you with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to progress and thrive as a teacher.

 

We are an associate college of The National Institute of Teaching, and we work with over 100 partner schools. Through these partnerships, we combine the expertise and experience of colleagues and schools to equip you with the skills, knowledge and confidence you need to progress and thrive as a teacher.
