National Institute of Teaching (NIoT)

As an associate college of the National Institute of Teaching (NIoT), we are proud to play a central role in shaping the next generation of teachers. This partnership brings a range of benefits for STTA, our trainees, our staff, and the wider education community.
The National Institute of Teaching exists to boost the quality of teaching and school leadership by carrying out research, applying the insights to their professional development programmes, and sharing findings with the sector. Their programmes are designed by teachers and leaders who understand the joys and pressures of school life.
Working with the NIoT ensures we have direct access to the latest evidence-informed practice, curriculum design, and pedagogy developed by the NIoT with the opportunity to embed national best practice in our ITT provision.
