Exceptional Ofsted Outcome for NIoT
The National Institute of Teaching (NIoT), of which Sheffield Teacher Training Alliance (STTA) is a proud Associate College, has been awarded an “Exceptional” Ofsted judgement for both its Primary and Secondary Initial Teacher Education (ITE) provision.
This places NIoT’s teacher training among the highest-rated provision in the country and reflects the quality of the training and support provided across its national partnership.
Ofsted praised the partnership’s ambitious curriculum, expert mentoring, strong focus on inclusion and effective leadership. Inspectors also highlighted the high quality of trainees, noting that they are exceptionally well-prepared to begin their teaching careers, with the professional knowledge, confidence and resilience needed to succeed in the classroom.
